Ridden Hunters - Thursday 16 May Judges: Miss R Thomas, Bridgend, Mid Glamorgan. (Lightweight, Middleweight and Heavyweight Hunter - Ride) Mrs A Pritchard. (Small Hunter - Ride) Mr D C Kellow, Bury St Edmonds, Suffolk. (Conformation of all classes) Classes 701 to 704 are qualifying events for Horse of the Year Show, NEC, Birmingham, 2nd-6th October 2019. This competition is for hunters, mares or geldings, 4 years old or over, to be ridden. Horses must be registered with the British Show Horse Association and all Owners, Producers & Riders must be members of the British Show Horse Association. Riders must be 15 years of age or older. Registration numbers must be quoted on entry forms. Classes 701-704 are qualifiers for the Horse of the Year Show. These classes will be run in accordance with the general rules as set out in the Horse of the Year Show rulebook, a copy of which can be downloaded from www.hoys.co.uk. The first prize winner will qualify to compete at the final. If already qualified the second horse will qualify, if the first and second horse are already qualified then the third will go forward. No horse lower than third place will qualify. Qualification will be verified by the Horse of the Year Show office. Horses competing at the Horse of the Year Show and qualifying shows in the hunter sections of the Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain classes at their Affiliated Shows cannot compete in Hack, Cobs and Riding Horse classes at the same show, on the same day and vice versa. This does not apply to SHB(GB) Ridden Sport Horse classes. Horses competing in the Small Show Hunter of the Year may not compete in the Show Hunter of the Year and vice versa.
