To ensure consistency, competitors must be using the correct tack, as listed in the FEI Rule Book. FEI Anti-Doping Regulations will apply. Each horse & rider combination placed in this class will be awarded League Points. The points will be awarded based on the following system. Points will be awarded to riders placed 8th= or higher on the following scale. 1st - 12 points, 2nd - 9 points, 3rd - 8 points, 4th - 7 points, 5th - 6 points, 6th - 5 points, 7th - 4 points and 8th - 3 points. Horse/Rider combinations placed equal will share the points attributed to the combined placings (for example, four riders placed 4th equal receive 7 + 6 + 5 + 4 divided by 4 = 5.5 points each). Qualifies for: League Points & Bonus Rider Ranking Points. The highest eight placed horse/rider combinations on the league table following the last qualifier at Royal Berkshire Show will receive bonus Rider Ranking Points to the value of: 1st place - £10,000 rider ranking points, 2nd place - £8,000 rider ranking points, 3rd place - £7,000 rider ranking points, 4th place - £6,000 rider ranking points, 5th place - £5,000 rider ranking points, 6th place - £4,000 rider ranking points, 7th place - £3,000 rider ranking points & 8th place - £2,000 rider ranking points. NOTE - these are bonus Rider Ranking Points to the value of the sum above and not cash awards. Prize fund 50% funded by the British Showjumping Business Partnership. A 'Wild Card' to compete in the International Classes at the 2019 Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) is available via a points league encompassing both the International Stairway and International Trial Competitions.
